The job itself
To form part of a team of street cleansing operatives, or to work alone, to ensure ERYCs towns, streets and open spaces are cleaned to a high standard.
To cleanse the streets, town centres, industrial areas and parks within the ERYC of litter, weeds, detritus and fly-tipped material and other works associated with the street cleansing service.
The areas are Willerby, Cottingham, Hessle & Beverley.
To be available to cover other operations within the council, eg. refuse collection at short notice.
Perform duties in a safe and courteous manner, remembering at all times that you are an ambassador for the ERYC.
Follow the Councils health and safety policy, which includes wearing PPE and ERYCs uniform.
Maintain and take responsibility for your equipment, which includes daily checks and cleaning your equipment, when appropriate.
Participate in flexible working patterns in order to accommodate the demands of the service. This will include working bank holidays including Christmas day and New years day, working the weekend following Christmas and that following New Years Day, and/or some evenings in order to meet the peak service demands of this time of year.
