I’m working with a highly respected subcontractor operating across complex steel and reinforced concrete projects, who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to support both permanent and temporary works design. This is a key hire due to a strong pipeline of secured work across London and the South East. Key Responsibilities: Design of structural steel systems including steel-to-steel, steel-to-concrete, and new-to-existing steel connections Temporary works design (e.g. RMD systems, steel temporary works solutions) Reinforcement design for RC elements Collaborate with site teams, external consultants, and fabricators to deliver practical and safe solutions Attend site visits where required to assess existing structures and monitor implementation Requirements: Degree-qualified Structural Engineer Minimum 5 years’ experience working with a subcontractor (steel or RC preferred) Proven ability to deliver both temporary and permanent works design Strong understanding of construction sequencing and practical site conditions Proficiency with relevant design software and standards What’s on Offer: Competitive salary up to £90,000 (depending on experience) Secure pipeline of varied, technically interesting projects Strong team environment with long-term development prospects If you’re a qualified Structural Engineer with subcontractor experience looking for a new challenge on technically complex projects please apply with your CV or message me directly for a confidential conversation.
