🚛 HGV Technician – Amesbury

We’re expanding our workshop operations and are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our busy Amesbury Depot. This is a full-time, permanent position offering strong earning potential, varied work, and long-term job security within a growing operation.
💷 Pay & Earning Potential
1. £20.03 per hour
2. Overtime after 47.5 hours: £25.04 per hour
3. Saturday rate: £25.04 per hour
4. Sunday rate: £30.05 per hour
5. Regular overtime available to boost earnings
🕒 Shift Pattern
6. Any 5 days out of 7
7. Flexible working across weekdays and weekends

🔧 Your Role
You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and on the road:
9. Service, inspect, and maintain HGVs to legal and company standards
10. Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and manage transport to test centres
11. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
12. Repair minor accident damage
13. Accurately record defects and completed works
14. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues
15. Deliver high standards of customer service
16. Work on vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment
✅ What We’re Looking For
17. Proven commercial HGV experience (essential)
18. Relevant qualifications:
City & Guilds (Parts 1, 2 & 3), BTEC, IMI, or equivalent industry experience
19. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
20. Organised, reliable, and able to manage workloads effectively
21. Positive, motivated, and professional approach
22. Strong communication skills
23. Full driving licence with no more than 6 minor points
(No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements)
