We’re looking for a Software Engineer to develop and improve the tools and manufacturing equipment used to build our products. About Your Talent
* Strong Python and JavaScript skills and experience
* Experience with physical or hardware-based products – such as manufacturing, instrumentation, or other critical systems.
* Knowledge of data management and data visualisation
* Experience with requirements and system-level design
* Comfortable with open-source tools and libraries
* Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, version control and task management
* Basic understanding of UI/UX and front-end development
* Good mathematical or numerical analysis skills
* Interest in science and sensor technology
* Some understanding of electronics
* Familiarity with code analysis tools
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of signal processing
* Awareness of how ML can support scientific or engineering workflows
* Experience using GenAI coding tools
Education
* Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Hybrid Working
After the initial settling in period, a hybrid working pattern can be adopted, with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Job Type
Full Time, Permanent, 38 hours per week.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times).
Salary
£60,000 - £75,000, salary offers determined by scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
