About the role
We are looking for an English intervention tutor to work with individual and/or small groups of Year 11 pupils on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will support those not making the expected rate of progress in GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature. The English faculty will provide ongoing support to maximise impact.
Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted English intervention to Year 11 pupils, individually or in small groups.
* Assess progress and adapt teaching strategies to improve GCSE English outcomes.
* Collaborate with the English faculty to ensure maximum impact of the intervention program.
Qualifications and requirements
* Educated in English up to GCE A level or level 3 equivalence.
* Grade B/Grade 5+ in GCSE English.
* PGCE or equivalent and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work schedule
Fixed Term 0.2 FTE until 31st July 2026
