The National Autistic Society (NAS) is dedicated to transforming lives, challenging perceptions and building a society that works for autistic people. The West London Centre is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team and help manage day-to-day operations to ensure the highest standard of care and support. This advert is for a full-time role in West London. The NAS provides residential services for autistic adults 52 weeks a year, 24 hours a day, in urban and rural settings, as well as supported living services for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation.

The Role Includes
This role involves supporting individuals with a range of needs to engage in community opportunities, supporting with activities and helping to make the most of their day. You will support vulnerable individuals, lead by example, and help manage day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality care and support.
* Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals
* Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community
* Develop individuals’ home-making skills and personal chores
* Transforming lives and achieving results for autistic adults
Working pattern requires flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, including evening and weekend working.
This advert is for a full-time role, 37 hours a week. The salary for this position is £23,492.04 per annum.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience supporting autistic people is preferred
* Experience supporting vulnerable people in a residential setting
* Personal connection, desire to work with autistic people or real-life experience with autistic people is valued
* Background in social care is acceptable with a strong training programme available to new staff
* Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is highly desirable but not essential
