The role is a Self-Employed Fire Risk Assessor operating throughout the UK
The candidate must be able to assess and produce Fire Risk Assessments for various properties, including Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Distribution Centres, small operations, large-scale sites, and complex buildings.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing your monthly availability for proposed work.
• Planning and managing work within agreed timescales.
• Keeping your Line Manager or Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
• Allowing Shadow and Witness Audits from clients, line managers, or senior team members as required.
• Maintaining Continual Personal Development (CPD) and undertaking additional training when onboarding new clients.
• Maintaining high IT skills aligned with equipment and software used in the business, and providing your own laptop or tablet for work.
This is a self-employed contractor position, not an employed role.
* Proven experience in completing Fire Risk Assessments across various properties, including complex buildings.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience and a recognized professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from reputable providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association, or NEBOSH.
* Must be listed on the Institute of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors or a similar industry scheme.
