Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in your community? Do you hold a D1 category on your driving licence and have experience driving minibuses with passengers? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed casual staff to join our team in delivering vibrant youth programmes and group activities across the Wakefield district.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transport staff and service users across the district to enable participation in planned activities.
2. Work directly with young people to support their informal education through engaging and inclusive programmes.
3. Contribute to the delivery of high-quality youth work, including group sessions, outreach work, one-to-one support, and residential programmes.
4. Assist with risk assessments for all activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
5. Promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of young people, sharing any concerns promptly with your Line Manager or Team Manager.
Essential Requirements
6. D1 category on a UK driving licence.
7. Previous experience working with young people.
8. Confidence in driving fleet vehicles with passengers.
9. Regular availability, particularly during late afternoons, evenings, and school holidays.
10. Ability to travel easily across the Wakefield district.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Genuine enthusiasm for youth development and wellbeing.
