Daily Rate - £104 to £110Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking outstanding SEND Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist therapeutic secondary school base in Barnet. This setting supports students aged 11-19 with Education, Health and Care Plans, including autism, SEMH needs, anxiety, and complex learning profiles.
This school is known for its nurturing, therapeutic approach, placing wellbeing and emotional resilience at the centre of learning while maintaining high academic expectations. Staff work closely together to provide personalised education, strong pastoral care, and meaningful preparation for adulthood.
We are looking for enthusiastic, hands-on individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and who can contribute to a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
To be successful for this role you must:
Bring passion, patience, and enthusiasm for working in SEND environments
Have experience supporting students with SEND, particularly autism, SEMH, or complex needs (or strong transferable care experience)
Have experience working with children or adults in education, care, or therapeutic settings
Be committed to supporting both the academic and emotional development of students
Be confident supporting students with regulation, engagement, and personalised learning strategiesJob Responsibilities:
Supporting students in class on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Promoting emotional regulation, confidence, and engagement with learning
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams
Supporting lesson preparation and adapted learning activities
