Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Theatre Department as a scrub practitioner. The post will be based within Theatres on the Crawley Hospital site, where we provide a day surgery service working Monday to Friday.
There are 10 theatres within our East Surrey site, providing 24-hour emergency cover and elective operating, and 4 theatres at our Crawley site, providing day surgery procedures. Specialities covered across both sites include Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics (East Surrey Hospital only), ENT, Orthopaedics, Trauma, General (including breast, paediatrics (East Surrey Hospital only), dental, colorectal, upper GI), Urology, CEPOD (East Surrey Hospital only).

Responsibilities
* Provide high quality care and support to patients and staff in the scrub role of the operating theatre.
* Support the theatre, wards and departments’ objectives and contribute to delivering high quality, safe care with a real focus on continually improving the patient experience.
* Contribute to training and development opportunities as part of the team.
* Adhere to Trust values and expected behaviours in all duties.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous theatre experience would be desirable.
* A proactive, can-do approach in supporting theatre, wards and department objectives.
