Job summary
The TrustEarly Intervention in Psychosis Service is a 9-5pm Mon-Fri service that provides support to help people who may have or be at risk of developing psychosis. We are currently seeking a Band 7 CBT Therapist to work within the Service. The role is based at Parkside Community Health Resource Centre in Middlesbrough and will involve the provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to service users under the team's care. The successful candidate will be registered with a professional body (HCPC, GMC, NMC, SW-E) or have BABCP KSA accreditation, be committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of the people we work with and have experience of providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for people who have experienced psychosis, trauma, anxiety, stress and depression (amongst other presentations)

Main duties of the job
The post holder will report directly to the EIP Team Manager and will be professionally accountable to the South Tees EIP Principal Psychologist. The individual will be able to provide one to one therapy within local NHS bases as well as within the local community. Therefore, there is a requirement to be able to travel.
The post holder must be able to provide Evidence of training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), ora demonstrable commitment to undertake appropriate CBTp training and achieve the required level of competence.

Early Intervention in Psychosis is a National Programme developed to provide specialist support for people who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing psychosis. The service consists of a multi-disciplinary team including Nurses, Psychiatrists, Psychological professionals and other Allied health professionals. The service uses a recovery-based approach supporting people to maximise their potential through biopsychosocial interventions known to promote recovery.

Qualifications/Experience
Essential
1. Practitioner or First Accreditation as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) BABCP Registration Number AND
2. A qualification that leads to registration with a professional regulatory body (HCPC, GMC, NMC or Social Work England) AND current registration with this professional regulatory body. (If a different regulatory body please seek advice from Chief Psychological Professions Officer) OR
3. A Knowledge Skills Attitude (KSA) equivalence portfolio approved by BABCP as part of your Accreditation as Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Be able to provide evidence of KSA Approval from HEI or BABCP AND
4. Experience Delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
5. Experience in discussing and responding to issues related to cultural diversity, intersectionality and inclusivity, including working with vulnerable groups (. those for whom English is not their first language)
6. Experience of Working with multi-disciplinary teams
7. Assessing and managing risk of self harm/ suicide
