CCTV Field Engineer
Marston Holdings is continually expanding, particularly within our Technology division, where we have attained Videalert and Vortex. We are the UK’s leading provider of intelligent traffic enforcement and management solutions, as well as smart city solutions that optimize productivity and reduce operational costs. Our offerings include environmental sensors, networks, and data solutions supporting global decarbonisation efforts through real-time data and cleantech technologies.
We are seeking to enhance our services by recruiting a CCTV Field Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent role that involves out-of-office hours (OOH) work and extensive travel across the UK. The successful candidate must hold a Full UK Driving License.
This role is vital to our operations team. Field Engineers are responsible for ensuring the timely, safe, and successful delivery and maintenance of hardware required for our traffic enforcement and management products.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Head of Service Management, PMO Manager, Technical Manager, and the wider service delivery team to resolve recurring technical issues and implement training or documentation as needed.
2. System commissioning: install systems at client sites in coordination with engineering partners, overseeing installation, assembly, and activities of subcontractors where necessary.
3. Software configuration: optimize system settings on-site to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
4. System support: assist helpdesk, perform system checks, respond to alerts or client issues, troubleshoot, and conduct hardware replacements as required.
Required Experience & Skills:
1. Minimum two years’ experience in a field technical role, preferably with enforcement/CCTV/ANPR system providers.
2. Strong understanding of Networking/IP.
3. Proficient in hardware components (PCs, cameras, wireless devices) and networking equipment.
4. Full UK Driving License.
