Job Purpose
* Manage the Strategy and Governance Team in Corporate Landlord Services.
* Lead and coordinate a range of services relating to the DMBC land and property portfolio, including data management, energy management, asset strategy, property and land acquisition and disposal programmes, and community asset functions.
* Assist the CLS Management Team in delivering a Corporate Estate Strategy, including the rationalisation of assets that may be deemed operationally surplus and the retention of those assets deemed more suitable, using a One Council approach.
* Support the work of the CLS Strategic Asset Manager and Head of Corporate Landlord Services.
Experience & Qualifications
* Management experience leading a team, preferably in a property-related function within a large, multidisciplinary organisation.
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of asset management, construction, and property management issues.
* Substantial experience planning and implementing successful asset management initiatives.
* Experience managing a diverse workforce, including professional, technical, and manual staff, and overseeing all aspects of employee performance.
* Sound knowledge of financial and budget monitoring.
* Extensive experience managing land and property projects.
* Knowledge and experience of building procurement contracts, processes, and requirements (e.g., JCT, PFI).
* Awareness of energy management and initiatives.
* Corporate experience working in a professional property environment.
