Experienced Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive Actions Against the Police
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £70,000+ per annum (DOE) + Bonus Scheme
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Our client, a well-established and respected law firm based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their expanding Actions Against the Police department.
The Role
This position involves managing a caseload from start to finish, including case investigation, instructing experts, drafting legal documents, and handling litigation where necessary. Prior experience in Actions Against the Police is not required; candidates must have a solid litigation background. Full training in this specialist area will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Running a caseload from inception through to resolution
* Drafting pleadings, Letters of Claim, and other legal documents
* Conducting settlement negotiations and litigation as needed
* Vetting new enquiries and assessing risk
* Meeting deadlines and delivering high levels of client service
Candidate Profile
* A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* Minimum 3 years' experience in litigation (essential)
* Proven billing history and ability to manage caseloads efficiently
* Excellent client care and communication skills
