Overview
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in urgent/emergency care triage? If so, we have an opportunity at Horsham Minor Injuries Unit. Our Centres provide urgent and unscheduled care to the Horsham community and surrounding areas, operating from 09:00 to 17:00 hours, five days a week.
This is a time to join our team. We have established an Urgent and Emergency Clinical Reference Group to explore staffing models, clinical pathways, training, and supervision to ensure staff are supported to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities

* At the Minor Injury Unit, triage, evaluate, and prioritise patients upon arrival to ensure safe, efficient, and effective care within target times.

Qualifications/Requirements
* Registered Nurse with experience in urgent/emergency care triage.
* Ability to triage, evaluate, and prioritise patients; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities (continued)
* As a member of the team, work co-operatively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective and safe delivery of nursing care and the highest possible standards of care for patients and their carers while in the unit.
* Work in a streaming capacity to assess patients on arrival to the Unit and prioritise them according to clinical need, streaming to the appropriate service within the Unit.
* Operate within agreed boundaries of practice, providing support, guidance, and supervision for staff nurses, students, and receptionists for the unit.
* Develop skills and knowledge to assess, plan and deliver care, refer to relevant specialty or outside agencies, supported by the Emergency Nurse Practitioner on duty as required.
