Overview
Moelwyn pharmacy is looking for a team focussed Dispensing assistant to work in our independent community pharmacy. The candidate should have excellent customer service skills and an ability to multi task for the variety of tasks required.
The role is for 5 days a week but there will also be an opportunity for greater hours to cover holidays.
Responsibilities
The role will will require:
* Labelling, processing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
* Having experience of processing medicine dispensing aids (MDS)
* Checking inventory and restock drugs and other items accordingly.
* Checking for expired medications and discard them appropriately.
* Being competent to offer advice and counsel patients for over the counter (OTC) medication.
* Being able to handle phone calls for patient requests and queries.
* Being competent with computers and Pharmacy PMR systems (Analyst).
* Being able to drive and deliver medications to local patients.
* Being able to receive and hand out prescriptions efficiently.

Qualifications
* Strong customer service skills to effectively assist and engage with clients.
* Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and customers.
* Basic IT proficiency to manage dispensing systems and maintain accurate records.
* Leadership abilities to support team dynamics and contribute to a positive work environment.
* Previous experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting is preferred.

Pay: £12.21-£12.70 per hour
