Overview
Are you an experienced and compassionate leader with a passion for improving the mental health and well-being of children and young people? We are looking for a dedicated Team Manager to lead our Future in Mind, Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
The Mental Health Support Team work directly with schools to provide early intervention for mental health difficulties, such as anxiety and low mood. The team deliver evidence-based interventions, promote a whole school approach to well-being and ensure children and young people get the right support at the right time.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the team, ensuring high standard of care and service delivery.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional development and staff well-being.
* Monitor performance, quality and outcomes, implementing improvements where necessary.
* Manage resources and line management of staff members within the time.
* Provide day-to-day management of the team, hold excellent communication skills and ability to form positive working relationships with Partners and Stakeholders.
* Lead on recruitment, retention and induction of staff.
* Conduct managerial supervision, appraisals and oversight of individual development.
* Manage performance and absence/staff wellbeing.
* Ensure the team are compliant with mandatory training.
* Support implementation and development of the service and delivery.
* Manage complaints from young people, families and professionals.
* Motivate, engage, empower and develop the team.
* Lead and coordinate team communication, including chairing regular team meetings.
* Approve annual leave and ensure safe staffing within the team.
* Work closely with the team and the Clinical Lead / Team Managers.
