GSL Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work in a supportive and inclusive school in Totton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
* Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour.
* Encourage independence and participation in learning activities.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
* Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic attitude.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
* Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
