Job Description
We are seeking a driven and analytical Site Engineer – Construction Performance to support installation planning, production monitoring and performance optimisation on a major Nuclear project in Bridgewater.
This role sits between Site Engineering and Construction Management, ensuring daily works are technically ready, performance is measured accurately, and blockers are proactively resolved.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Coordination
Build and validate the Shift S+1 Installation Plan
Lead Shift Validation and Kick-Off meetings
Contribute to 16 Week Look Ahead (16WLA) planning
Maintain contingency "backup work" plans
Confirm readiness against:
Approved workpacks
Material availability
Workforce capacity
Building/access constraints
On-Site Engineering & Monitoring
Conduct daily site walks to monitor installation progress
Identify and resolve blockers (access, design queries, materials, labour)
Interface with Site Engineering and Design teams to resolve field issues
Ensure works align with the validated shift plan
Performance & Reporting
Track planned vs actual daily production
Analyse lost time and recurring constraints
Categorise internal vs external blockers and escalate systemic issues
Support QS with documentation of external stoppages
Lead the Onsite Construction Monthly Progress Report
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Experience in site engineering, production control or construction performance
Strong understanding of installation sequencing and site execution
Analytical mindset with confidence interpreting performance data
Able to influence and challenge site teams constructively
Experience within large-scale infrastructure, energy or nuclear projects desirable
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.c
Desirable Skills:
Nuclear, energy, or infrastructure experience
Scheduling software (Primavera, Asta, MS Project)
Safety or project management qualifications
