About Our Oxfam Shops
Open since 1948, our shops are central to our charity work, raising vital funds and increasing public awareness. Guided by values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusiveness, our shops aim to maximize income to support our mission.
The Role of Shop Managers
Shop managers are commercially aware, motivated, and create a safe, energetic environment. They set high standards, drive results, and are accountable for their shop's success. They work within a volunteer operating model, empowering volunteers to handle many tasks, including running the shop in the manager's absence.
Often the only paid staff, managers enjoy working with others, delegating effectively, and attracting supporters daily. They are excellent communicators, creative, and proactive.
Note: This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Our Values and Safeguarding Commitment
Oxfam is committed to preventing misconduct, including harassment, exploitation, abuse, and financial misconduct, and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to adhere to our code of conduct and share this commitment, ensuring only those who demonstrate our values are recruited.
