Electrical Engineer Peterborough/Cambridge Were seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer & Remedial Electrician to join our growing team in the Peterborough / Cambridge area. What youll receive for joining us We offer a salary of £42,000 to £46,000, depending on experience, with additional earning potential through overtime. You will also receive: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays An additional day off for your birthday Workplace pension Company van and fuel card Access to an employee discounts platform Overtime is paid once 50 hours per week is exceeded: 1.25x MondayFriday 1.5x weekends The role is based on a 45-hour week, including a 30-minute paid lunch break each day. All specialist equipment will be provided, including Megger testers, SDS drills, combi drills, uniform, and a tablet. Engineers are expected to provide their own hand tools. What youll be doing Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments, using strong knowledge of single- and three-phase installations Carrying out electrical repairs and minor remedial works to maintain compliance with BS 7671 Travelling to client sites within your region (typically 11.5 hours travel), working independently while upholding high standards of safety and professionalism Liaising with the Helpdesk team regarding maintenance programmes and reporting procedures Recording all works undertaken accurately and submitting documentation within required timescales Representing the organisation professionally while maintaining strong working relationships with clients Experience & qualifications were looking for NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation AM2 qualification 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 / 2394 / 2395) Proven experience completing commercial EICR testing and remedial works Experience with three-phase installations and fault-finding Ability to work independently in a mobile engineering role It would be advantageous (but not essential) to hold: ECS / JIB Gold Card IPAF or PASMA certifications A full UK driving licence is required, and an enhanced DBS check will be requested.
