Residential Childcare Support Worker (Sessional/Casual)Location : BristolContract : Shift Pattern- ad-hoc coverSalary : £14.11- £14.77 (dependent on qualification) per hour plus sleep in shifts when requiredHeadway Adolescent Resources were formed in 1999 and has established a good reputation in the residential adolescent childcare sector, and pride themselves in having the insight and ability to care for young people as individuals in a holistic manner, regardless of their background.We are currently looking for Residential Child Care Workers to join our new residential home on a casual basis. This amazing opportunity will also allow you flexibility to work hours you can commit to with no contractual obligationBased in a children's residential home you will be working with young people with challenging behaviour, and you will need to be flexible, resilient, honest and well organised, as well as committed to providing a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes.Applicants must have:Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting (but not essential)Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young PeopleBe capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintain clear, neat recordsHave good inter-personal skills, and be a positive team playerComputer experience to an intermediate levelThe ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.Empathetic natureHave good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contextsThe ability to engage, motivate and encourage young peopleFull manual driving license essential.A sleep in allowance of £46 per night as and when the business needs.Headway is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
