Job Summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will work within a dynamic team to support, maintain, and improve the laboratory's Quality Management System in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17065 requirements, ensuring accurate, reliable, and traceable construction materials testing.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update quality documentation, procedures, and records;
Monitor compliance with accredited standards and organisational policies;
Conduct internal audits of technical and management activities;
Assist with the organisations external surveillance and reassessment audits;
Track nonconformities, implement corrective/preventive actions based on the analysis of root cause, impact and extent, and verify effectiveness;
Support staff training and competency assessments;
Maintain records of qualifications and authorisations for testing personnel;
Support the calculation of all aspects measurement uncertainty;
Ensure test methods, standards, and forms are current and controlled;
Coordinate calibration and maintenance records for equipment;
Recommend process improvements for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance;
Support handling of client feedback, complaints, and quality-related enquiries;
Assist / provide support in the organisations applications for extensions to scope
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements or an experience working with an equivalent quality management system;
Experience in construction materials testing is desirable;
Auditing experience and/or certification is desirable;
Strong organisational and documentation skills;
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
Good communication skills for working with technical staff and auditors;
The ability to form strong relationships, whilst communicating well is key;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
