Job Advert
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our service in Easingwold on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Our team of dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic support workers helps individuals live the lives they choose. If you enjoy supporting active individuals, our 1:1 support service might suit you, where you'll support a young man with different activities weekly, such as football, swimming, or exploring with National Trust tickets. Alternatively, supporting individuals in their homes, assisting with daily tasks and promoting independence, is also available.
Support roles vary, including verbal prompts for personal care or more hands-on support. Full training and shadowing will be provided.
Flexibility is essential; shifts can start from 7:00 am or 9:00 am and end between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm, usually split into two shifts. Sleep-in shifts or waking night shifts are also available, with an enhanced flat rate of £63.70 for sleep-ins (non-contractual).
Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you'll provide outstanding support to help individuals live comfortable, dignified, and happy lives. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting independent living, including budgeting, paying bills, housework, appointments, and cooking.
* Building relationships through excellent communication and understanding the world around them.
* Supporting community access and social inclusion to promote life skills and individuality.
* Assisting with personal care, including medication prompts, bathing, and bathroom use; some roles may require more intensive support.
All roles require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
Benefits
Enjoy 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), pension, holiday buying options, ongoing training, and a supportive, inclusive environment.
