About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The prison has its own pharmacy on site with 7 wings, each with a medical admin.

Hours & Shift Pattern
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (07:00‑20:15 / 20:00‑07:15). Shift Pattern: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. View to work 1 in 4 weekends soon.
This position is full time. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £41,659 per annum – depending on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
* You will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high‑quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration the need to maintain a high level of security.
* You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs.
* Promote safe patient care.
* Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

* Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
