* Mechanically Biased Maintenance EngineerSalary: £47,000 (including shift allowance)Hours: Monday–Friday + 1-in-3 call-out rotaLocation: Stonehouse Are you a hands-on, mechanically biased maintenance engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment?We’re supporting a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their close-knit team.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of reactive maintenance, PPM, and continuous improvement within a supportive engineering department. The RoleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all plant and production equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
* Responding promptly to breakdowns and restoring operations under pressure
* Delivering and supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
* Getting involved in continuous improvement projects and site engineering upgrades
* Taking part in a 1-in-3 call-out rota covering evenings and weekends
* About YouWe’re looking for an engineer with:
* A recognised engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical – apprenticeship/college or equivalent)
* Strong fault-finding experience on production or manufacturing equipment
* Experience within food manufacturing/FMCG (desirable but not essential)
* Any exposure to PLCs or diagnostic systems (advantageous)
* A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work both independently and within a small team
