Area Sales Manager – Industrial / Engineering Components Established UK Manufacturer | Strong Existing Account Base | Excellent Staff Retention Area: Scotland & North East The Role of Area Sales Manager * Responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 400 accounts across a defined territory * Selling industrial / engineering components into a mix of end users and trade partners * 50% of your time focused on OEM customers * 50% managing and growing relationships with established distributors and re-sellers (e.g. Eriks, Key Industrial, BSL, etc.) * Engaging with a variety of stakeholders including Production Managers, Engineers, and Buyers * 75% of your focus will be on existing business—developing current accounts and converting warm inbound enquiries * Tasked with growing an area currently generating circa £800K turnover * Supported by an internal team for quotes, lead generation, and customer service * Full autonomy to manage your diary and develop your area with the backing of a respected brand (2/3 days field / 2/3 days WFH) About the Company hiring an Area Sales Manager Our client is a well-established UK manufacturer of industrial /engineering components, with over 50 years of heritage, known for delivering high-quality engineered solutions across a broad range of industries both domestically and internationally. The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager role * Proven background in B2B sales, ideally with an industrial or engineering bias * A practical thinker with a “solutions-led” approach to customer needs * Strong and stable sales track record – consistent performance and territory development * Dynamic, self-motivated, and able to work independently while being a team player * Confident in managing a varied customer base and building long-term relationships The Package on offer for the Area Sales Manager * Basic salary up to £40,000 (dependent on experience) * Uncapped quarterly bonus – realistic earnings of £5,000–£6,000 per year * Additional 10% of salary bonus for achieving a stretch target * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Hybrid company car or car allowance * Laptop, phone, and full business expenses covered Ref CPJ1741
