This will include finding, qualifying, and closing sales with new ‘switcher’ customers who can benefit from our products and services. As the first line of communication with prospects, our BDMs will have a strong understanding of the sales process and Straumann Group portfolio. They will excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up our Territory Managers for success in ongoing account maintenance.
A quick learner with strong communication skills, they will have the ability to showcase the breadth of Straumann Group's offerings compellingly. Every potential customer is an opportunity to boost revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability.
This is a development position within Straumann, so part of the role will also include supporting the regional team with activities such as mentoring, training, onboarding of new employees, and managing a small corporate account to develop commercial skills.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth across North UK. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, and promoting our dental solutions portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Territory Managers and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Prospecting & Acquisition: Identify and engage prospective clients through outreach such as cold calls, emails, and social media. Qualify leads, present solutions, and close sales.
2. New Account Onboarding & Growth: Develop strategies for new accounts, increase product utilization, and maximize client profitability. Introduce clients to new products and applications.
3. Collaboration & Handover: Work with Territory and Customer Success Managers for smooth transitions from acquisition to account maintenance. Provide insights and documentation for ongoing relationships. Attend events as requested.
4. Training & Support: Conduct device installations and training in regions without a dedicated trainer. Support events and trade shows. Coach Territory Managers on sales techniques and CRM usage.
5. CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records and use data for strategy and performance reporting.
Qualifications
* At least 4 years' experience in account management or sales within the dental, aesthetics, beauty, or wellness industry.
* Proven success in business growth and client relationship building.
* Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively; valid driver’s license required.
* Proficiency in CRM and sales tools.
