Reporting to the Group Financial Operations Controller, the role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, and ensuring that financial controls and reporting are executed in line with the company's strategic goals. The Finance Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to support decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability while maintaining a high standard of financial integrity. This role is critical to maintaining strong financial discipline across the Group, enabling leadership to make informed decisions and supporting global scalability. Main Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing finance operations team across multiple geographies. Set and manage deadlines across the team. Conduct regular one-to-ones, team meetings, and performance appraisals. Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and procedures across operational finance functions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. Operational Finance: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash application. Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions. Support the Team Leads in generating and presenting comprehensive management reports on key performance indicators, project statuses, and operational metrics to senior leadership. Monitor and improve working capital through proactive credit control and supplier management. Maintain accurate and reconciled sales and purchase ledgers across all entities. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial policies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders. Process Improvement & Technology: Lead initiatives to standardize, automate, and streamline operational finance processes. Identify opportunities for ERP improvements and integrations (e.g., AP automation, e-invoicing). Work with technology teams to ensure systems are fit-for-purpose and scalable. Reporting & Insights: Produce timely operational finance reports and KPIs to senior leadership. Develop dashboards to track transaction performance, aging, and outstanding balances. Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial effectiveness. Business Partnering: Developing monthly management reports for use by various stakeholders in the business. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and reporting. Assisting with Group projects such as alignment of financial practices and policies, development of X3 technology, global operations processes, software integration, etc. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. Implement and maintain robust systems to ensure sales and purchase ledgers are consistently reconciled and up-to-date. Ensure processes, systems, and controls are fit for purpose. Work with internal and external auditors to ensure financial risks are managed effectively and in compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO). Proven success in managing multi-disciplinary transactional finance teams. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Experience within complex B2B finance team. Experience in working capital management and process transformation. Desirable: Experience in a multinational, matrixed environment. Cross-border payment experience. Prior involvement in finance system implementation or upgrades (e.g., Sage X3, NetSuite, SAP). Familiarity with shared services or outsourcing models.
