About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and engaging Teacher of History to join our Humanities faculty. This is a key position for a reflective practitioner who is passionate about helping students understand the world through historical study. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to support curriculum development and cross-curricular projects.

Our History department has a strong reputation for delivering a thought-provoking curriculum that challenges assumptions, develops analytical skills and brings the past to life. We welcome applications from teachers at any stage of their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Promote critical thinking and evidence-based arguments

Support students of all abilities to make sustained progress

Contribute to curriculum enrichment, including trips and clubs

Engage in professional development and departmental collaboration

About You:

History or Humanities degree and QTS

A genuine love for history and ability to communicate it to young people

Excellent planning and classroom management skills

Dedication to inclusive, student-centred education

Willingness to go above and beyond to inspire learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
