We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Business Control and Finance team at UPM Caledonian Paper in Irvine, Ayrshire.
What you will do
1. Support UPM closing processes and control reporting correctness of units
2. Preparation of financial and operational analysis
3. Support units cost management processes, including both variable and fixed costs
4. Involvement in investment calculations and follow up
5. Support site manufacturing forecasting and budgeting process
6. Business plan follow up and support
7. Ensure and support periodic physical checks of the unit's working capital and fixed assets
8. Participation and support to internal benchmarking within the business area
9. Involvement in the Statutory accounts process, ensuring compliance with UPM defined standards and UK accounting standards
10. Support local UK audit process
11. Ensure taxation compliance with UPM defined standards and UK taxation requirements
12. Internal controls self-assessment and monitoring
13. Involvement in adhoc global projects
Whoyouare
14. You have a degree level qualification or equivalent and are planning on currently progressing towards your professional Accountancy qualification
15. You are familiar with Management accounting and experience within a manufacturing organisation would be advantageous
16. You have good networking, team working and relationship building capabilities
17. You are able to work in virtual team and use your own initiative
18. You have good business and financial understanding and are results driven
19. A good knowledge of reporting tools (SAP, Excel, PowerBI, MS Office) is beneficial
