About the Role
Knowsley Council is seeking an experienced and committed Qualified Social Worker to join its Children's Services team on a full‑time locum basis. Key Responsibilities
* Undertake child and family assessments in line with statutory guidance
* Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions
* Develop and implement care and support plans
* Attend and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where required
* Work in partnership with multi‑agency professionals to safeguard children
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case records

Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role, offering a healthy work‑life balance with three days based in the office and two days working from home.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* Previous experience within children's social care
* Strong assessment and analytical skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
