Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Admin Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing financial records, and maintaining all office administration procedures.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation and processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using Sage accounting software.
* Support the reconciliation of bank statements and assist in month-end closing procedures.
* Prepare and maintain financial reports as required by management.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding account discrepancies or payment issues.
* Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or systems as needed.
Skills
* Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
