We are looking for a new
Engineering Supervisor
to join our Engineering Team. This role will be hands on and oversee daily supervision of 3 maintenance engineers on our days shift. Providing a maintenance service to the business and buildings, plant and associated equipment that ensures 100% availability and reliability, that results in the safe and efficient production of products.
Duties Will Include
* Supervisory control of maintenance engineers
* Liaise with the Engineers in relation to departmental requirements
* Take responsibility for the Engineering Manager and other Engineering shift leaders in their absence.
* Conduct a range of engineering activities including (but not limited to) fault diagnostics, breakdown cover, equipment instillation and the general maintenance of all plant and equipment to ensure optimum efficiency
* Support the Engineering Manager with the commissioning of new machinery
* Complete and maintain accurate documentation following repair
* Contribute to focused improvement meetings (FIM) as and when required
* Maintenance of building fabrication and services
* Conduct scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Work with contractors to ensure specialist machinery is maintained
* Ensure the clean as you go policy is maintained
* Conduct toolbox audits
* Fully cooperate with site management and the workforce
* Report any Health and Safety hazards within the area
* Take a consistent and fair approach when implementing company policies and procedures.
Desired Skills And Experience
* Engineering related qualification or relevant experience in an engineering role ideally within food manufacturing
* Strong technical knowledge and aptitude for both mechanical and electrical engineering
* Competent in working with PLC systems and fault finding on electrical circuits. Ideally 18th Edition qualified
* Sound fault finding ability and a working knowledge of pneumatics and electronics
* Ability to use initiative
* Flexibility
* Good written and oral communication
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
