About the role
We are looking for a senior occupational therapist for a 12‑month secondment at St Mark’s Hospital, Maidenhead. The successful candidate will manage a highly complex caseload of adults and older adults with multi‑pathologies and frailty, deliver tailored rehabilitation, and provide clinical leadership and specialist advice to the interdisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver a comprehensive, patient‑focused rehabilitative approach to a complex caseload.
* Provide clinical leadership and specialist advice through supervision, education of students, Band 5 staff, multi‑therapy assistants and other team members.
* Identify service developments, needs, contribute to planning, development, evaluation and lead defined projects.
* Conduct highly skilled assessments of occupational performance; plan, implement and evaluate evidence‑based, client‑centred interventions and maintain records in line with College of Occupational Therapy and Trust standards.
* Provide cross‑service clinical and workforce support when required, prioritise caseloads and contribute to workforce coordination ensuring safe and effective service provision.
Qualifications & experience
* Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Experience working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care NHS or social services setting.
* Experience supervising junior staff and students.
* Valid driving licence with access to a car for work purposes.
