Primeline Express offers comprehensive freight and transport management solutions, servicing a wide range of consignment sizes from parcels to full trailer loads. Our daily express service covers the UK and Ireland with strategically located facilities ensuring optimum coverage for all customers. We provide direct and dedicated groupage trailers, nightly services from all offices, weekend departures, and timed deliveries. We also offer a web-based consignment booking system and full system tracking with online proof of delivery (POD).
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mallusk, Northern Ireland for a Transport Planner. The Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and planning daily transportation schedules, managing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing transport routes. Key tasks include transport modelling, scheduling shipments, monitoring transport costs, maintaining detailed records, and communicating with various stakeholders including drivers, customers, and management to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
* Transportation Planning and Transport Modelling skills
* Experience in Operations Management and Transportation Management
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in transport management software and tools
* Knowledge of freight and transport regulations
