Lead Document Controller

Purpose
You will oversee the delivery of document control for all SPT projects, lead the staff involved, and own the document management system (DMS).
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Manage, mentor, and coordinate all SPT Projects document controllers, ensuring the implementation of document management processes across departments, including chairing monthly meetings.
2. Assess probationary reviews, support line managers with performance appraisals, and set objectives for document controllers.
3. Serve as the main contact for the SPT Projects DMS, handling process, access, training, communication, and system development issues.
4. Act as the business representative and SME on replacing the existing DMS, including specifying requirements and evaluating solutions.
5. Develop and maintain internal project document inspections to ensure standards are met and address issues promptly.
6. Represent SPT Projects on the Cambuslang Office Depot Management Team.
7. Oversee onboarding, inductions, and training for new team members on document control processes and procedures.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience leading and managing a team directly and as a function lead.
* Experience engaging with people at various levels across the business.
* Knowledge of Document Management Systems like Projectwise and ACC.
* Proven experience managing a portfolio of projects.
* Analytical skills and ability to present information clearly.
* Proficiency in MS Office and strong administrative skills.
* Report writing experience.
* Quality auditing qualification.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 BIM standards.
* Proactive problem-solving skills.
* Teamwork and flexibility.
* Empathy and relationship-building skills.
