About The Role

Please note that this role is to cover parental leave until May 2026 for 18.5 hours a week with a pro rata salary from £17,365 up to £19,044
As a Lecturer of Hairdressing at the EKC Group you will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and to lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Hairdressing team.

You will be highly organised and creative, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and high-quality lessons that inspire learners. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to assess and track student progress effectively, using this insight to plan timely interventions that help every student reach their full potential.

While previous teaching or training experience is desirable, it’s not essential—we offer full training and support to the right candidate. What’s vital is your industry expertise. You must have solid experience working within the hairdressing sector and hold a Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing.

A positive and empathetic attitude is a must, as well as the ability to manage a classroom and create an inclusive, professional, and purposeful salon learning environment. You will teach across a range of study programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 and will play a key role in motivating and guiding learners to achieve success.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met.Employees can move up the salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete, subject to approval.Therefore, internal applicants may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
