As Head of Science, you will play a key role in inspiring a love of science across all key stages, from Key Stage 3 to A-Level, while ensuring high academic standards are met by all students. Key Responsibilities of the Head of Science include: Provide strategic leadership for the Science department, overseeing a team of dedicated Science teachers. Develop and implement an innovative Science curriculum that fosters student curiosity and high achievement. Monitor and assess student progress in Science, implementing targeted strategies for improvement. Promote and lead CPD for Science staff, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching quality. Manage departmental resources effectively, including laboratories and equipment. Maintain strong links with local STEM businesses and organisations. We Require a Head of Science who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Has significant leadership experience in Science education. Possesses a degree in Science or a related subject.
