About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to students with SEN, helping them engage fully in lessons and activities. You’ll play a key role in fostering confidence, independence, and a positive learning experience for each child.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students to access the curriculum, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.
* Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
* Build meaningful relationships to encourage engagement and self-confidence.
* Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, and day-to-day support where required.
* Track and report on student progress to help inform SEN plans and interventions.
* Contribute to a welcoming, safe, and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience supporting children with SEN in a school environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of SEN conditions and practical support strategies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and flexibility to respond to the needs of different students.
