Customer Service Representative – Full Time
We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team here at Vintage Sofa Co.
Based at the historic Jowler Mill in the heart of the industrial South Pennines, Vintage Sofa Co. is known for its unique collection of sofas, armchairs, and footstools, crafted in premium velvets, leather hides, and Harris Tweed. Our character-filled showroom is nestled between Hebden Bridge, Haworth, and Halifax, in the steep-sided Luddenden Valley.
As the business continues to grow, we're looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our friendly, fast-paced team. In this role, you'll represent the heart of our brand – offering down-to-earth, helpful and genuinely caring service to our wonderful customers.
What the role involves:
* Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries via phone, email and in person
* Providing order updates, chasing suppliers, and supporting with any aftersales issues
* Arranging customer deliveries via our in-house team and partnered carriers
* Processing returns and communicating resolutions clearly
* Assisting with route planning and delivery scheduling, working closely with the warehouse team
* Keeping accurate internal notes and records
* Using initiative to solve problems and improve processes wherever possible
What we're looking for:
* Customer service experience preferable, but we're open to the right personality with a willingness to learn
* Friendly, calm and empathetic approach – especially when handling concerns or complaints
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Comfortable using computers, email and Excel (full system training provided)
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail
* Positive attitude and a team player
* Must have reliable transport – no direct public transport to our location
