Offer description

Can you help us on our mission to ensure every child can live a Life Worth Living?

Around 90,000 young people in the UK are persistently absent from education each year. At Nudge Education, we exist to change that. We support children who are chronically disengaged from education through tailored mentoring, guidance, and life-changing interventions that help them re-engage and thrive.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking compassionate, creative practitioners who are passionate about inclusion and building meaningful relationships with young people. Our work depends on strong connections, resilience, and the ability to think imaginatively. You may come from education, healthcare, uniformed services, creative industries, sports, or other backgrounds. Professional experience matters—but so does lived experience, empathy, and an understanding of trauma or complex needs. What you do will genuinely change lives.

The Role

* Deliver 1:1 (or occasionally 2:1) interventions
* Work remotely, beyond traditional classrooms, using local environments and communities
* Adapt quickly to student needs while prioritising safety and wellbeing
* Collaborate with a strong support network, including peers and regional hubs

Practicalities

* Flexible contract based on location and student match
* £16–£25 per hour for lead roles, plus expenses
* Availability required Monday–Friday during daytime hours
* Consistent weekly availability to provide stability for students

Key Responsibilities

* Design and deliver personalised interventions to support engagement
* Track and report progress, behaviour, and safeguarding concerns
* Conduct risk assessments for activities and environments
* Attend occasional multi-agency meetings
* Stay up to date with education guidance and best practice

Essential Qualifications & Experience

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant sector
* Experience supporting SEN or SEMH learners, in particular young people with ASD / FASD
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Right to work in the UK
* Availability for at least three consistent days per week

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

* QTS or teaching qualification (PTLLS or higher)
* Therapeutic qualifications (e.g. counselling, CBT, MHFA)
* De-escalation training (e.g. CPI, Team Teach)

* Strong relationship-building skills with vulnerable young people

* Intermediate IT skills
* Knowledge of ADHD, ASD, PDA, and learning disabilities

While qualifications are valued, the most important requirement is the commitment and compassion to support disengaged young people.

We follow strict safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.

If you feel you could make a difference as one of our practitioners, please apply today. We'd love to hear from you.
