Platers Wanted - Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Project
We are currently seeking experienced Platers to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Plant. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proficient in using fabrication drawings to develop fabrication plans and select appropriate tools and equipment.
2. Fabrication shop assembly experience, including burning and grinding.
Strong plating skills, including cutting, preparing, shaping, fabricating, and assembling plate and steelwork.
3. Experience with skin casing, duct work, hangers,and supports - fabrication and repair.
4. Ability to work from task-specific instructions, including method statements and task plans.
5. Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes.
6. Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.
Requirements:
7. Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork, Shipbuilding, or Metalworking
8. OR Minimum Level 3 Diploma in the same fields
9. OR Minimum Level 6 (if awarded in Scotland)
10. OR ACE Card - Level 3 in Plating
11. OR Chinese Diploma in Welding and Fabrication
Route B - Experience-Based:
12. Pass a Competency-Based Interview with a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
13. Minimum 5 years of verified experience in a plating role
Hours & Pay:
14. Standard working hours: 38 hours/week, Monday - Thursday
15. Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates
