Newly Qualified Accountant - Aircraft Leasing | UK
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK based aircraft leasing company to hire a Newly Qualified Accountant into their growing finance team.
This role is ideally suited to a high-calibre, newly qualified accountant with strong technical aircraft leasing experience who is keen to progress quickly within the organisation. The business offers excellent long-term career development and is actively looking to develop its next generation of finance managers.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
* Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
* Deliver quarterly reporting requirements.
* Liaise closely with external auditors.
* Support period-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Provide accounting and commercial input on aircraft leasing transactions.
* Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.
Core Competencies
* Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Big 4 audit background.
* Strong technical experience within aircraft leasing financial reporting.
* Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SOx environments.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
* Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
* High quantitative ability with a proven track record of working to tight deadlines.
