Janitorial / Facilities Assistant
Location: Dumfries (DG1 4FD)
35 hours per week
Temporary – 3 weeks initially (may be extended due to long-term sickness)
Immediate start subject to PVG clearance
Working hours:
1. Monday & Wednesday: 11:00am – 6:30pm
2. Tuesday & Thursday: 2:00pm – 9:30pm
3. Friday: 10:00am – 5:30pm
4. Occasional weekend work required
Key duties
5. General janitorial duties, cleaning, and basic building maintenance
6. Locking up the building and setting security alarms in the evening
7. Monitoring and responding appropriately to fire and security alarms
8. Ensuring the building remains safe, clean, and well maintained
Requirements
9. PVG check required
10. Ability to understand and follow fire and security procedures
11. Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
12. First Aid qualification desirable

14. PAT testing would be an advantage
This is a short-term opportunity with potential for extension depending on operational needs.
