* Ward 5B is a fast-paced acute surgical ward with a strong interdisciplinary team focused on best patient care and outcomes.
* All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role
* Ward 5B is a 32-bed surgical ward. We care for a range of surgical patients undergoing Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery.
* The staff on 5B believe in a multidisciplinary team approach to health care that places the needs of our patients and their families/carers first through communication and collaboration to facilitate a safe discharge from hospital.
* We provide a supportive environment for learners and place a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in facilitating the needs of our busy surgical ward.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 25 October 2025.

Salary
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
