Assistant Pre-Construction Project Manager - Central London
We are seeking an Assistant Pre-Construction Project Manager to join a dynamic and growing construction team based in London with a T/O over circa £50m. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in pre-construction and project management within a supportive, professional environment.
My client work within the new build commercial sector with project values ranging from £7.5m-£25m.
Suitability
This position would suit an individual from a site management, engineering, or junior project management background who is keen to transition or further develop within the pre-construction phase of projects.
The Role
Working closely with the commercial, estimating and construction departments, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from early concept through to site start. Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with pre-construction planning, programming, and logistics
* Supporting tender processes, including document control and subcontractor coordination
* Liaising with consultants, designers, and internal teams
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical information
* Assisting with cost planning, value engineering, and risk assessments
* Supporting handover from pre-construction to delivery teams
About You
* Background in site management, engineering, or junior project management
* Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies
* Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
* Confident communicator, able to work with multiple stakeholders
* Ambitious and keen to progress within pre-construction/project management
