Responsibilities
1. Test and validate program modules of increasing complexity to meet specifications and procedural standards.
2. Conduct thorough testing of client/server and web applications.
3. Document software defects and communicate with developers.
4. Validate documentation for accuracy and completeness.
5. Validate software releases prior to distribution.
6. Execute automated test scripts and evaluate results.
7. Create and maintain test plans and cases.
8. Assist in developing standards and procedures.
9. Review and edit test scripts and write queries.
10. Document and execute various testing approaches to ensure product quality.
11. Identify procedures, methods, or tools to improve QA efficiency.
12. Assist in designing and defining requirements for new products.
13. Provide analysis and support to development and support teams.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in software quality assurance; Tyler software experience is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of QA methodologies and scripting.
* Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query writing.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Capability to maintain a test environment effectively.
* Willingness to travel occasionally.
