Your Mission:
As a Senior Product Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are safe and compliant. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining our Safety Management System.
* Supporting the creation of Project Safety Management Plans.
* Conducting hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities.
* Assisting in the construction of the Project Product Safety Case, including Safety Case Reports.
* Managing the Project Hazard Log effectively.
* Delivering training to the Product Safety and Environmental domains, as well as the wider BAE Systems community.
* Producing and presenting clear technical safety arguments.
* Completing peer reviews and assurance tasks to validate the Project Safety Case and documentation.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of environmental challenges related to product exposure.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with the lifecycle phases of submarine design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing.
* Ability to interpret technical data effectively.

About the Integrated Combat Systems Team:
In this role, you will support the Engineering Delivery Manager in developing and maintaining the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case, ensuring our products are safe to own and legal to operate. We also offer relocation support packages for eligible candidates across all Submarines roles.
