The Role
An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join its growing Nottingham-based civil engineering team.
This position would suit a civil engineer with a few years of consultancy experience who enjoys being involved in technical design, project delivery, and day-to-day coordination. You’ll work on a varied mix of development-led projects and gain exposure across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing civil infrastructure and drainage solutions for residential and mixed-use developments
* Producing technical drawings and calculations to support planning and detailed design
* Working on S278, S38, S185 and S104 agreements from design through to approval
* Preparing designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and InfoDrainage (or equivalent software)
* Supporting project delivery from concept stage through to construction
* Liaising with clients, architects, local authorities and external consultants
* Managing your own workload while contributing to wider team objectives
About You
You’ll ideally have:
* 3+ years’ experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy
* A solid grounding in infrastructure and drainage design
* Experience across a range of development sectors
* Confidence communicating with clients and project stakeholders
* A practical, hands-on approach with an interest in design and delivery
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
